Louis Dubé holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Ottawa. He also completed the Chartered Director Program at Université Laval. Mr. Dubé began his career as a Federal Court litigation attorney before specializing in intellectual property and technology transfer. He then occupied various positions within the legal departments of major corporations, including Bombardier, Alcan and Rio Tinto, where he contributed to large-scale projects involving legal management, IT and technological development.

Mr. Dubé sits or has sat on several boards of directors. He presently chairs the Board of Directors of Moisson Rive-Sud, the largest food bank in the Montérégie region, and is chief legal counsel for ELYSIS SC, a joint venture of Rio Tinto and Alcoa supported by Apple. In this role, he supports the development of an innovative electrolysis technology with zero direct GHG emissions for aluminum production, by supervising the legal aspects related to intellectual property, strategic agreements and governance.
