AIPC Gold Quality Standards  

Since 2015. International GOLD-level certification for a convention centre’s rigorous management, adherence to specific quality standards, and level of interest in continuous improvement.

Since 2022. The Palais des congrès de Montréal has become the first convention centre in Quebec to receive the internationally recognized GBAC Star sanitary certification, which constitutes a recognition of its relentless commitment to a healthy and safe environment for its clients, partners and visitors.

IEEE Supporting Friend Award

2018. The Palais des congrès de Montréal and Tourisme Montréal were presented with this prestigious award for their outstanding support during numerous IEEE conferences and meetings. Montreal is the first city and the Palais the first convention centre to receive this award.

Sustainable development

One of the Palais’ fundamental values, sustainable development requires concrete actions, and ours have been recognized many times over by numerous certifications and awards, something we are very proud of.

2017. Overall winner for the Palais’ Urban Agriculture Lab.

Since 2015. Along with the City of Montréal, the Palais is ASTM-APEX certified for holding environmentally responsible events.

2013. Finalist in the Sustainable Development category.

2012. Finalist in the Increased Productivity and Sustainable Development categories.

2013. Winner in the Host Site category.

2012. Winner in the Green Events category.

Since 2010. Environmental certification for existing buildings under the national BOMA BEST program. BOMA BEST certification recognizes excellence in energy performance and environmental management.

Since 2021, the Palais has held The Women in Governance Parity CertificationTM. This recognizes organizations’ commitment to parity in the workplace through the mechanisms they implement to achieve results in closing equity gaps.

2021-2022. Parity CertificationTM – Bronze level

2023-2024. Parity CertificationTM – Silver level

2022. Bronze certification for the Palais’ initiatives that encourage its clients and employees to use cycling as a green mode of transportation.

Karine Plamondon, Associate Director of Event Planning and Management, was nominated for Supplier of the Year by Experient, a global meeting and events management company.

The Business Development team’s Mylène Paré was named as Supplier of the Year at the Journée nationale de l’industrie des réunions recognition gala.

The Canadian Society of Association Executives recognized Suzie Roy of the Business Development team for her work and dedication to the tourism industry.
