Emmanuelle Legault

In 2021, Emmanuelle Legault became the first woman to head he Palais des congrès de Montréal as President and CEO. Recognized for her international expertise in tourism and for her strategic vision of Montréal’s role as an economic and cultural driver, Ms. Legault has has more than 20 years’ experience as a top-level manager in key positions within the advertising industry and tourism sector. After 10 years at Tourisme Montréal, she joined Destination Canada in 2016 as Vice-President of International Affairs. But the pull of Montréal was too strong, so after three years in Vancouver, she returned to her native city brimming with inspiration and new ideas, and resumed her innovation and development work at Tourisme Montréal as the organization’s Vice-President of Marketing and Strategy.

Her collaborative nature and her extensive knowledge of the tourism industry and business events have led Ms. Legault to work in diverse and dynamic environments. Notably, she has managed multidisciplinary and multilingual teams in 11 different geographic markets, such as the United States of America, France, Japan, Brazil and India. Ms. Legault also sits on the Community Advisory Committee boards of Aéroports de Montréal, and on the board of directors of Hub Montréal, Montréal en lumière and Tourisme Montréal.

Ms. Legault also has a solid network of contacts, enabling her to nurture strong ties with business partners and government institutions. Her skill set in strategic branding contributes to raising the profile of the Palais des congrès de Montréal locally and globally.
