Nicolas Joël

Vice-President, Events and Client Experience since 2024, Nicolas Joël brings close to 30 years of experience in operations management, strategic development and events management to the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

During his career, Nicolas played a key role at the Olympic Park as Acting Vice-President, Operations and Commercial Development. He was the Director of Operations and Events while supervising the commercial and operational activities at the Montréal Tower during the planning of its reopening.

His professional experience also includes work with the Disney Group, Tennis Canada and the world of convention centres, in particular, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal as Assistant Director of Operations from 2010 to 2017. Over the course of these various experiences, he managed major investment programs, brought several financial process optimization projects to completion and forged solid expertise in managing commercial budgets and developing strategic partnerships.

His ability to enhance the client experience, establish solid relationships with commercial and institutional partners, and lead innovative projects while guaranteeing quality operational performance make Nicolas a major asset in carrying out strategic initiatives to transform events at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
