Louis Dubé holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval  and a  bachelor’s degree in Civil Law from University of Ottawa. He also completed the Chartered Director Program at Université Laval. 

Mr. Dubé began his career as a Federal Court litigation attorney before focusing his practice on intellectual property and technology transfer. He then worked in the legal departments of major corporations, including Bombardier, Alcan and Rio Tinto, where he occupied key positions related to governance, information technologies, and the management of complex technological projects 

Over the course of his career, Mr. Dubé has sat on several boards and is presently the Chair of the Board of Directors of Moisson Rive-Sud, the largest food bank in the Montérégie. He also serves as chief legal counsel for ELYSIS SC, a joint venture of Rio Tinto and Alcoa supported by Apple. In this role, he supports the development of an innovative electrolysis technology enabling zero direct GHG emissions in aluminum production by supervising the strategic issues related to intellectual property, trade partnerships, and governance.
