From 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, the Palais des congrès will be joining in Montréal’s Nuit blanche with a series of playful and multisensory experiences, giving young and old alike a chance to let their imaginations run free. Numerous free activities to indulge your nose, tastebuds, eyes, and ears will be rolled out throughout the Palais des congrès shopping mall … enough to keep any Nuit blanche à Montréal fan warm!
The theme of this 21st edition of the Nuit blanche is creative fantasy: escape the bounds of reality and enter a world of dreams and imagination springing straight from the subconscious.
Eager to be part of this extraordinary universe, the Palais has devised a host of activities where visitors of all ages can let their creativity and imaginations soar!
Free activities for the whole family
A playful photobooth in the Lipstick Forest installation
Taking over Place Riopelle Hall, Claude Cormier’s iconic forest of pink trees will be transformed into a surrealistic photobooth. Come immortalize your Nuit blanche au Palais adventure in this fantastic setting!
À l’ombre des pommetiers
TKNL’s immersive experience, which has been lighting up the Esplanade du Palais des congrès since February 9, will run continuously during the Nuit blanche. Composed of light, sound and visuals, the installation showcases the urban garden of 31 crab apple trees designed by Claude Cormier and offers passers-by a welcome time-out to contemplate the pleasure, beauty and surprises that this unique space provides throughout the seasons.
Pedal to your favourite song
Atraktiv’s musical bikes will invite all music lovers to join the fun! Using their smartphones, aspiring cyclists can choose a song using a QR code and then pedal to activate the instrument paired with their bike. Form your own group of four and come pedal in harmony!
Our wish arch, your wildest dreams
Inspired by Nuit blanche 2024’s creative fantasy theme, young and old alike will be invited to share their imaginations on fabric ribbons and tie them to the wish arch in the Palais des congrès shopping mall.
Hot chocolate and cotton candy
To help you make the most of the Nuit blanche, Maestro Culinaire, our exclusive food partner, will be offering free hot chocolate and cotton candy to all night owls (while supplies last). Hot chocolate distribution will start at 8 p.m.
A sensory tour of Montréal
Take advantage of the Nuit blanche to discover MT Lab’s first Tourism Innovation Showcase, an array of multisensory and interactive experiences offering you a chance to see, smell, hear, touch and taste Montréal across its neighborhoods. Visitors will be welcomed by an original olfactory creation developed by Stimulation Déjà Vu, and offered a gustatory souvenir inspired by the seasons of the Jardin botanique (while supplies last).
Tickle your taste buds at La Buvette des lumières ($)
Be sure to reserve your place at La Buvette des lumières to enjoy a tasting of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages between 6 p.m. and 1 a.m. These workshops are organized in partnership with several producers, including Les Insolites, presenting some privately imported wines, Microbrasserie 4 Origines, showcasing variety of beers, and Fin Soda, serving up non-alcoholic beverages. Soups and sandwiches will round out the tastings. With the purchase of a meal, visitors will also be able to buy bottles produced especially for the occasion.

Complementing the activities put on by the Palais, OASIS immersion will be presenting, from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m, an excerpt from its new exhibition: Dreaming Asia. This 30-minute interactive and illuminated experience will provide visitors with the opportunity to discover Dream of the Floating, an ode to the avant-garde of the great masters of Japanese printmaking. Numerous surprises will be unveiled throughout the evening.
