Philippe Chantal, a senior executive who made his mark at Loto-Québec, most notably at the Casino of Charlevoix, will take over this September as Vice-President of Operations for Capital Catering Montréal Inc. at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, where he will help continue to foster the trademark excellence of the Palais’ world-class food service.
A charismatic leader and avid team player, Mr. Chantal steered the operations of numerous Loto-Québec establishments over the last 25 years. While at the helm of the Casino of Charlevoix, he was instrumental in rallying the local entrepreneurial community behind a common objective: the region’s tourism and commercial success. He played a key role in organizing the G7 meeting in 2018, a formidable operational challenge deftly and brilliantly met by Mr. Chantal and his team.
Surrounded by a solid team, in terms of both the serving and kitchen staff, managed by Executive Chef Simon Devost-Dulude, Mr. Chantal vows to uphold the vision of excellence and the affinity for local products that have been driving forces for the Palais des congrès de Montréal and Capital Catering since 1994.
