Immersion into the heart of ancient Rome: World premiere at the Palais des congrès de Montréal

ROME

Starting January 22, 2026, the Palais des congrès de Montréal will be the theatre of a spectacular time odyssey, with the world premiere of ROME, in Caesar’s Footstepsan immersive virtual reality experience created by Montréal’s Studio Shaman

Unprecedented technological prowess

Combining avant-garde technology, historical rigour and interactive narration, ROME, in Caesar’s Footsteps allows you to relive—and even influence!—the events that led to the assassination of Julius Caesar

Through cutting-edge technology (particularly hand movement capture), participants freely wander through a Rome reconstituted with precision and naturally interact with the scenes—by voting by a show of hands, by manipulating objects, or by influencing certain crucial events. Two outcomes are even possible based on the decisions made during the odyssey.

Live key moments in this era, such as the surrender of Vercingetorix, the meeting with Cleopatra, or the decisive vote naming Caesar dictator-for-life and the plot that led to his fateful end.

This original creation, designed and produced in Montréal, confirms the city’s position as a world leader in digital creation. Studio Shaman is a young Montréal company specialized in immersive experiences and virtual reality, created by Alexandre Teodoresco in partnership with The 7 Fingers
