The team at the Palais des congrès de Montréal is thrilled to welcome Nicolas Joël to the position of Vice-President, Events and Client Experience. In the position since August 5, Nicolas Joël brings with him close to 30 years of experience in operations management, strategic development and events management. His integration will be facilitated by his knowledge of the Palais and its issues, since he held the position of Assistant Director of Operations from 2010 to 2017.
Before returning to the Palais, Nicolas played a key role at the Olympic Park as Acting Vice-President, Operations and Commercial Development. He was Director of Operations and Events, while supervising commercial and operational activities at the Montréal Tower during the planning of its reopening. At Tennis Canada from 2017 to 2023, as Director of the IGA Stadium and Director of Operations for the National Bank Open, he managed major investment programs and brought several financial process optimization projects to completion. During the first decade of the 2000s, his career with the Disney Group provided him with the opportunity to consolidate his expertise in managing commercial budgets and developing strategic partnerships.
Nicolas Joël stands out for his ability to enhance the client experience, establish solid relationships with commercial and institutional partners, and lead innovative projects while guaranteeing quality operational performance.
Pleased to be back at the Palais, he will surely be a major asset in carrying out strategic initiatives to transform events at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
