Propulsion Québec’s International Summit on Electric and Smart Transportation runs March 13 through 15 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. It is a major event that will give scientists and professionals the opportunity to share the latest tech advancements in sustainable mobility. Some 80 speakers and 700 participants are expected from all over the world.
Supported in part by the Palais Optimization and Location for Events (POLE) program, this will be a repeat event at the Palais for the coming years. Also, in line with the central theme of the Summit, the event will be green and sustainable, in accordance with the Palais’ climate conditionality policy.
Professor Catherine Morency, who teaches at the Polytechnique Montréal school of engineering and is Vice-President of the Ambassadors Club of the Palais des congrès de Montréal, will take part in a workshop on rethinking urban spaces, on Monday March 13. Professor Morency enjoys a worldwide reputation in the field of urban mobility. She is on Polytechnique Montréal’s faculty of civil, geological and mining engineering and is Canada Research Chair in the Mobility of People.

A mission on the move
Propulsion Québec represents one of Montréal’s 10 industry clusters. It acts as a catalyst for the region’s Electric and Smart Transportation (EST) community and is on a mission to position Québec as a global leader in the field. Propulsion Québec groups together some of the most forward-thinking businesses in EST, as well as research centres and government organizations.
It also sits on the Palais des congrès de Montréal’s multisector strategic taskforce. Members of this taskforce are influencers from the worlds of science and business who can make a difference in an association’s choice of host destination for their event. Their core purpose is to identify potential opportunities for business and events in their sector.
Through its International Summit on Electric and Smart Transportation, Propulsion Québec is further galvanizing an already exciting field with a significant event bringing together the best EST minds.
The International Summit on Electric and Smart Transportation will host several dozen interactive workshops, conferences and meet-and-greets, making it one of the must-attend events of the year in Montréal on the subject of transportation. Do not miss this!
