Congratulations to the two winners of our summer contest “La verrière a 20 ans”, launched last August by the Palais and open to the public. Participants were invited to share their best pictures of the Palais’ colourful glass façade, an unmissable feature of Montréal’s architectural landscape.
This iconic façade, conceived as part of the 2002 expansion of the Palais’ facilities, soon became one of the main symbols of the city center. A Hal Ingberg creation, its development was overseen by three architectural firms: Tétreault Parent Languedoc et associés; Saia Barbese Topouzanov, architectes; and Ædifica.
Congratulations to Mrs Silvia Oliva-Ayala, winner of the People’s choice prize, and to M. Kenan Boshi, unanimously chosen for the Palais prize. We wish to thank all participants for their creativity and their interest in our city’s built heritage.
