The Palais des congrès de Montréal is proud to have won Tourisme Montréal’s Prix Distinction in the business events – best initiative category. This prize recognizes events that, in 2025, marked the destination by virtue of their scope: capacity to attract strategic clienteles, generate significant spinoffs, and mobilize the local ecosystem.

The project submitted by the Palais was the National Conference on Ending Homelessness (CAEH25), held last October. Among the 281 events hosted in 2025, this well-considered choice highlights the importance homelessness holds for the organization. Deeply involved in Montréal’s social fabric, the Palais went beyond its usual role for this event. By offering free spaces, closely collaborating with the local organizing committee—led by the Mouvement pour mettre fin à l’itinérance de Montréal (MMFIM – Movement to End Homelessness in Montréal)—and partnering with organizations like Tourisme Montréal and Meet4Impact to measure the conference’s societal benefits, it contributed to making this conference a promising and meaningful moment.

A member of Tourisme Montréal, the Palais submitted a nomination on behalf of the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness, the conference organizer and, together, both organizations share this recognition.
