At the Palais des congrès de Montréal since 2024, Marianne Proulx is a lawyer and certified mediator, recognized for her vast expertise in commercial law, entertainment and innovation law and strategic bargaining. A member of the Barreau du Québec since 2000, Marianne has a Bachelor of Laws from Université de Montréal (LLB) and a Master’s from the Institute of Comparative Law at McGill University, as well as a DESS in Conflict Prevention and Resolution from Université de Sherbrooke. 

Over the course of her career, Marianne has practised in national firms and served as a director for major companies, notably for Cirque du Soleil, where she helped to pilot the company’s expansion and growth, while contributing to its strategies to protect, operate and govern its intellectual property assets portfolio. More recently, she joined the group Mediabiz International and then the St. Lawrence Law Firm, and has supported several clients working internationally, offering legal, business and management consulting services.  

Marianne has sat on the Board of Directors of Externat Mont-Jésus-Marie since 2019 and currently sits as its Vice-Chair, after having served on the Board of the Association littéraire et artistique internationale (ALAI) Canada as a member and treasurer from 2012 to 2017.
