In the Palais’ five unique lounges, convention-goers can combine the practical with the enjoyable by immersing themselves in the heart of the destination. Whether that’s relaxing in the shadow of a majestic humpback whale, networking in the cozy atmosphere of a ski resort, chatting in the wooded setting of a Québec cottage, discovering abundant nature and breathtaking landscapes, or exploring the wealth of Indigenous tourism—choices abound!

Accessible at all times to Palais convention-goers, these relaxation and networking spaces provide an enhanced experience by showcasing Québec’s tourism offer.

Those thematic spaces won the prestigious AIPC Innovation Award Delegates’ Choice 2024. This international distinction highlights the Palais’ commitment to bringing innovative solutions and inspirational environments to conference-goers.

Le Chalet (The Cottage)

Greenery, trails, swings and Adirondack chairs await visitors in the heart of Québec’s boreal forest. What better place than the wooded ambience of Le Chalet (the cottage)to take a break between meetings or simply unwind in good company! The first in our series of five thematic lounges, Le Chalet has quickly become a popular spot for visitors looking for novel experiences.

La Station (The Ski Resort)

Winter activity enthusiasts take note! La Station offers an open-sky work space beside a wood fire. In an après-ski atmosphere evocative of Québec’s beautiful ski resorts, convention-goers can set up on a chairlift to continue their conversation or enjoy the privacy of a ski gondola to chat quietly, right in the middle of the effervescence of the event.

Le Saint-Laurent (The St. Lawrence River)

To network in the shadow of a spectacular 10-metre humpback whale suspended from the ceiling… Le Saint-Laurent offers this in a laid-back marine atmosphere. Come nightfall, with its enchanting soundscapes and visuals, this lounge becomes the ideal spot for happy hour. Enjoy a dreamlike immersion into the heart of the wildlife and vegetation of the emblematic St. Lawrence River, where aquatic projections create an enchanting atmosphere to the melodious sound of waves and majestic whale songs.

Le Panorama (The Panorama)

Featuring fall colours in all their splendour, Le Panorama is the perfect space to stretch your legs on a bike, or curl up in a cocoon tent for a little break between meetings. Enjoy a nature walk with activities along the way, offering an array of playful installations and informative panels on eco-responsible practices and biodiversity preservation. The relaxing atmosphere, change of scenery and picnic tables here and there make Le Panorama an ideal meeting spot.

La Station, Le Saint-Laurent and Le Panorama were created in collaboration with the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec as part of its mandate with the Ministère du Tourisme du Québec to promote the destination under the Bonjour Québec brand.

Québec Autochtone (Indigenous Québec)

Inspired by the powerful theme “All memorable stories start with an encounter,” the Québec Autochtone lounge captures the Palais’ desire to transform the convention-goer’s visit into a moment of sharing. Offering an overview of some 200 experiences related to art and culture, hunting and fishing, gastronomy, festivities, accommodation and adventures in nature, this is the ideal spot to hold special moments as a group around a table representing Québec’s 11 Indigenous nations, or to embark on a voyage of discovery of Indigenous tourism through an interactive screen.

The Québec Autochtone thematic lounge is the fruit of a partnership between the  Palais des congrès de Montréal and Indigenous Tourism Quebec.
