The Palais Non-Profits Program (POP) - Montréal Convention Centre

The Palais Non-Profits Program (POP)

In keeping with its community-orientated mindset, the Palais has developed a program specially designed for the city’s non-profit organizations.

Palais OBNL (POP)

The Palais des congrès de Montréal has a wonderful abundance of spaces: right in the heart of downtown Montréal, more than 100 facilities are available for rental for conventions, conferences, galas and meetings. The program will allow the Palais to make unused facilities available to non-profits that work with disadvantaged groups. The Palais Non-Profits Program (POP) can be your privileged gateway to these facilities.

What are POP’s objectives?

  • Establish the Palais as a model for community integration;
  • Keep sustainable development at the heart of what we do;
  • Open our doors to not-for profit partners, and support the work they do to assist disadvantaged groups.

What organizations are eligible for POP support?

  • The organization must be a non-profit that works to aid disadvantaged groups;
  • The organization does not need to be a registered charity to avail itself of the program;
  • The Palais des congrès will evaluate requests on a case-by-case basis.

What activities are eligible?

  • Small to medium-sized events (team building, board meeting, etc.);
  • One-day activity;
  • Activity organized 6 months maximum after the deposit of your application form;
  • Conferences, galas, fundraisings and exhibitions are not eligible to the program.

IMPORTANT

To be eligible for support, a non-profit organization must at least meet the following requirements:

  • Assist one of the city’s disadvantaged groups;
  • Create positive social and human impact;
  • Plan a small to medium-sized event (team building, board meeting, etc.);
  • Be flexible as to the date for its activity;
  • Send the application form at least 1 month before the planned date of your event;
  • It is not compulsory to be a registered charity.

Eligible proposals may be submitted throughout the Palais’ fiscal year, that is, from April 1 to March 31.

A member of our team will get back to you shortly to discuss your projected activity and your eligibility for the program.

The number of eligible applications for the POP program has been reached for the year 2023-2024. Thank you for your interest!
