The Palais Board of Directors has three new members

Société du Palais des congrès de Montréal is pleased to welcome the three new directors who were appointed to the Board in July.

Sofiane Benyouci

Mr. Sofiane Benyouci is an aerospace engineer, a development manager as well as a specialized consultant in Innovation, Technology and Commercialization Management. He is currently the Head of Innovation of the consulting firm Innovitech where he leads the entire Innovation practice. Innovitech creates and operates ecosystems that foster technological innovation by gathering companies and institutions around business opportunities generating economic and social impact.


Louis Dubé, LL.L, ENG., ASC

Louis Dubé holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Université Laval and a Bachelor of Civil Laws from the University of Ottawa. Most recently, he pursued an education in governance and completed the Chartered Director Program at Université Laval. Mr. Dubé has always worked in intellectual property and technology transfer, first as a Federal Court litigation attorney and then as in-house counsel with major corporations including Bombardier, Alcan and Rio Tinto. Over the years, he has helped run the legal and IT departments for major projects, handling everything from hiring and training employees to supervising them. He has also overseen numerous projects pertaining to litigation, outsourcing, IT and large-scale technology development.

Josée Gravel, B.C.L., MBA

Josée Gravel is a partner at Hansell L.L.P., an advisory firm specializing in governance. Prior to joining Hansell, she successively served as Vice-President and General Counsel of GE Capital, a financial services firm, and Export and Development Canada (EDC), a federal Crown corporation. During her tenures with these two organizations dedicated to growing Canadian businesses and their international reach, Ms. Gravel acquired a vast wealth of experience in risk management, operational performance, and strategic planning. Earlier in her career, she practised banking and real estate law at a national law firm. Ms. Gravel is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors and McGill University (B.C.L. and M.B.A.), and a member of the Québec Bar.
