Every year for the last 9 years, the Société du Palais des congrès de Montréal holds its Journée Coup de pouce, a day devoted to human solidarity during which Palais employees volunteer their time to helping various Montréal community organizations. The Palais has roots in the community, and it welcomes the opportunity to contribute to fighting issues like homelessness and poverty.
On May 19, 2016, 34 employees from various departments lent a hand to organizations that devote each day to improving the lives of thousands of Montréalers.
- Auberge du cœur – Le tournant, which aims to improve the immediate living conditions of homeless youth and to prevent a worsening of their situation.
- Accueil Bonneau, who accompanies people experiencing homelessness namely by providing support, food and clothes.
- Quebec Society for Disabled Children, a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster the personal development of children with special needs and their integration within the community.
