The Palais des congrès de Montréal is preparing to blow away the city all summer with a flurry of activity. Over 30 large-scale events will mark the season, starting with the 19th Soroptimist International Convention, the Bombardier Club BRP Montréal 2011 trade show, and the International Association of Administrative Professionals 2011 International Convention and Education Forum, in July alone.
These will be followed in August by the American Cheese Society conference and competition, the Otakuthon 2011 anime festival, and the Ecocity world summit. The summer season will wrap up with the 10th CIVICUS World Assembly and the 12th International Congress of Human Genetics, which will bookend the Esthétique SPA International show.
These nine events alone should attract 32,720 participants and contribute nearly $40M to the city’s economy. It’ll be a hot summer!
