The 2014 International Forum on Health will be holding court at the Palais des congrès de Montréal this October 7 and 8, 2014. Chaired by Dr. Fabrice Brunet, president of the Conférence des CHU du Québec, the event will feature renowned speakers and lead a global conversation on healthcare topics including innovation, managing field-acquired knowledge, telehealth and personalized health.
Thanks to the participation of Montréal’s higher learning institutions, the Forum is contributing to further entrenching Montréal’s standing as a leader in the life sciences sector, which accounts for over 600 institutions and 45,000 jobs in the city. Montréal is the Number One city in Canada for subsidized university research and the amount of university researchers.
The Palais des congrès is proud to have been contributing to this event from Day One. Meetings like the Forum thrive on the lifeblood of the various activity sectors and their support. Each year, 33% of the conventions held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal are related to healthcare and life sciences. Also, 40% of the members of the Palais Ambassadors Club are from the healthcare and life science communities. A shining example of the need to involve local players to ensure international events enjoy successful outcomes in Montréal.
